One of the most valuable feature of American Express cards is Amex offers. Used smartly, these offers have the potential to save you at least a few hundred dollars each year, which in many instance would be enough to offset the annual fee on your card.
While the offers are for all sorts of businesses, our focus as avid points and miles collectors is mainly on travel offers. And right now, I am seeing multiple Amex offers that can save card members some serious cash on flights and hotel stays.
One thing to keep in mind is that most Amex Offers are targeted. Not every offer is available on every card and most are capped at a specific number, meaning once the cap is reached the offer disappears and can no longer be added. So it’s a good practice to check these offers every couple of days and save them as soon as possible.
Here are a bunch of offers that card members may find useful, a couple of these are new while the rest have been available for a while.
Save on Stays at Hilton Properties
One of the new offers that popped-up today was for stays at Hilton properties. With this offer, cardmembers can save $100 on spends of $500 or more.
Some of the important T&C’s related to the offer are :
- You must ensure that AU$500 or more has been charged to your Card by 11/12/2023 to be eligible for the offer. Spend can be in one or more transactions.
- Offer is valid at participating Hilton propeties in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Payments for stays at non-Australian locations are charged in the property’s local currency and will be converted to Australian Dollars based on the rate of exchange at the time your Card is charged. You must meet the Offer spend requirement of AU$500 after currency conversion to be eligible for the offer.

Some of the important T&C’s related to the offer are :

- Spend can be made in one or more transactions.
- Incidental spend is eligible if charged to your room during your stay and paid at the hotel front desk upon check-out (e.g. spend at hotel restaurants).

In Conclusion
Even after writing about them for all these years, it feels like Amex Offers remain one of the most under-appreciated feature of American Express cards.
While it’s nice to earn Membership Rewards Points and redeem them for Business and First Class flights, there’s something to be said about saving cold, hard cash when you are not paying with points.
Personally speaking, I easily save over a thousand dollars each year with Amex Offers. It’s one of the primary reasons I am happy to pay the annual fee on my American Express cards year after year.
